Hot Romance between Tamil actor hero Dhanush and beautiful girl Genelia D’Souza in Uthama Puthiran photogallery

Uthama Puthiran film centers on a happy-go-lucky youngster (Dhanush) hailing from a rich family and is well pampered by his family members. When the family elders arrange marriage for their daughter (played by Thamanah in original version), he helps her get married with her boyfriend. This galls his parents, who push him out of their sight. Meanwhile, the protagonist tends to kidnap a beautiful girl (Genelia D’Souza) as a mistaken identity, with whom he had fell in love at first sight and couldn’t know her whereabouts. Meanwhile, it’s revealed that the girl herself wasn’t interested in this marriage and wanted fly for USA to escape from the clutches of her deadly uncles.Now, it’s up to the guy to save his belle from the speculative situation and win her heart. The audio of Balaji Studios Uthamaputhiran, featuring Dhanush and Genelia was launched at a five star hotel in Chennai on Tuesday (Oct 5) evening.

Dhanush spoke about the film and asserted that it will be a perfect family outing for Diwali and also invited his co-artists like Aarathy and others on stage. Genelia in her speech said that she was very happy to be a part of the film and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Three songs and a trailer of the film were screened. Vijay Antony in his speech said: “I enjoyed the film during the re-recording. It is a super comedy especially in the second half when Vivek and Dhanush cross swords. There are six peppy numbers in the film which is sure to rock.”

Prabhu Kasthuri Raja , professionally known as Dhanush, is a Tamil film actor and playback singer in Chennai, India. His filmography includes the critically acclaimed films Thulluvadho Ilamai, Kadhal Kondein and Pudhupettai.His commercially successful films include Thiruda Thirudi, Thiruvilayadal Arambam, Polladhavan, Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Padikathavan and Kutty. He is the son of film director Kasthuri Raja.


Dhanush's biggest film, in terms of budget, til date is the 2006-released Pudhupettai. The film, re-united him with his brother after their successful previous venture, pitted him against two prominent heroines Sneha and Sonia Agarwal.
Dhanush and Jawahar share a very good rapport. The director, who is a former associate of Dhanush's brother Selvaraghavan, has worked with the actor earlier in 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini' and 'Kutty'.
"The movie is a mix of action, romance and sentiments", he says and adds: "Vijay Antony has come out with a collection of beautiful songs. His music is one of the important highlights of the film".
He had tweeted that Uthamaputhiran shoot is over and it has shaped out to be a racy entertainer. The film has tremendous title value, as it is a Sivaji Ganeshan super hit title of the 1960’s.Meanwhile he is a happy man as the film produced by Balaji Studios is getting ready for a Diwali release on November 5.
